Established
in late 2002, Byron Bay Freeriders Inc. has
positioned itself as the Bay's premier all-round
cycling club. With currently over 50 members
at its core (and growing!) involved in both
MTB and road riding, Freeriders Inc is helping
define the cycling movement locally.
Criteriums
The Byron Bay Freeriders criterium series
is a
safe event on a very fast course held
in the Arts and Industry Estate Byron Bay with great
prizes for race winners and overall victors.
This summer race series is held on the second and fourth Sunday
of the month (Sept - May)
and is a must for anyone who is interested in
road racing. All levels of riders welcome.
Road race
Byron Bay Freeriders also conduct a series of winter road races on the open roads.
The course is a challenging hilly course based in the Mullumbimby area.
Club meetings
Club meetings are held at Julian's Cafe, Jonson Street, Byron Bay. First Wednesday
of the month at 6:30pm.
